Submission Guidelines
1. We accept all writers, though we particularly appreciate authors of underrepresented backgrounds.
2. Prose, editorial, personal essay, nonfiction, and culture pieces have a minimum of 250 words and maximum of 1700 words. Poetry has a maximum of 4 pages, double spaced.
3. Please cite any sources you may have used.
4. All pieces must be your own
5. Attach any relevant or accompanying files (images, videos) with your piece.
6. Name your submission in the following format: "Firstname_LastName_ArticleTitle_Category"
7. Please submit your piece in docx format.
8. We accept simultaneous submissions. Pieces that have been published beforehand are acceptable, though you must provide evidence that you have permission to do so.
Tips
1. Be creative! We like looking at new and original ideas. That being said, do not worry about "is my problem too cliché?" We believe that all appropriate stories are worth sharing.
2. Be yourself! We value works that include personal connections.
3. Don't be afraid to be humorous! We do not require all pieces to be formal. Our audience loves to laugh, too!
4. If you are unsure of what category to write in/none of the categories are suitable for your piece, do not worry. We will find a place for you.
NERAK! Authors
Our authors team is composed of a select group of writers who show dedication for their work. They each publish at least one piece every month. If you are interested in joining the team, please fill out the following form. All writers that submit their work are considered to be a part of NERAK! Authors. By joining this group, you become a part of a community of creators that inspire the world. All Authors receive volunteer hours.
